Denver Botanical Gardens Orchid Atrium

Invited Competition Proposal for the Denver Botanical Gardens, 2011

In 2010 Denver Botanic Gardens unveiled a new signature indoor orchid display area, Marnie’s Pavilion. This two-story space acts as a mid-grounds anchor, connecting the Gardens’ landmark Boettcher Memorial Conservatory building and a suite of new greenhouses and orangery. In addition to providing an important indoor display environment, complete with rock outcroppings and waterfall, this atrium area leads to a specialized botanical illustration classroom and the horticultural offices.
